Mr. Acevedo has been featured in numerous newspaper publications, including the New York Times, New York Law Journal, New Jersey Law Journal, New York Post and the New York Daily News. He was also featured in TWA Flight 800 and the Attack on America, a book about the Flight 800 trial. He has appeared on numerous television and radio shows, including 48 Hours, CBS and ABC News, National Public Radio’s Talk of the Nation, numerous WBAI radio talk shows and Newstalk Television. Mr. Acevedo has also been a guest speaker at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government on criminal justice issues. For a number of years, Mr. Acevedo was the contributing legal writer for Fortune News. Other publications include: Is a Ban on Plea Bargaining an Ethical Abuse of Discretion?, 64 Fordham L. Rev. 987; and Race and Representation: A Study of Legal Aid Attorneys and their Perception of the Significance of Race, 18 Buffalo Public Interest Law Journal. Mr. Acevedo was the recipient of the Osborne Association's Austin McCormack Award for exemplary work in the field of social justice, Fordham Law School's Stein Scholar's Award and the Feerick Center for Social Justice's Champion of Justice Award and was recognized by the Community Service Society for outstanding Pro Bono Legal Assistance.
